Whiskey and black coffee
put the hair on my chest.
The memories of her
put the hole in my heart.
And so I’m up late again
listening to Folk songs
And the way she plagues me
puts the tear on my page.
But the whiskey stays cold
just to give me the warmth.
An unselfish vice
as a computer might be.
And the coffee stays bold
just to let me enjoy.
A fearless addiction
as love may be seen.
